Prayers for the Moment

Some Thoughts on Prayer.

This little section is devoted to some simple prayers that I as Joseph have encountered during my Life-time.

As Mary says to Maureen " Pray from the Heart every moment of your Life even make sleep a Prayer

I also read where one of the Friar Orders- St. Cuthbert or St Dominka or St. Augustine would not allow his followers to carry a prayer book - the prayer book is  in your heart he would say.

One of the last words Maureen spoke to me before she died " Joe we must always thenk God for all the little Miracles of Love He sends into the World".

"Reciprocal acts of Love involve, sharing giving and taking and will lead you to Heaven, if we could be like this on Earth pain and suffering would diminish- we have the power."

The Memorare

Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly to Thee O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word of God despise noe my petitions, but in your clemency hear and answer my Prayer. Amen

Short Daily Prayers from the Heart.

Jesus Mary and Joseph I give you my Heart and my Soul

Jesus Mary and Joseph assist me in my last agony

Jesus Mary and Joseph May I die in Peace and in Thy Blessed company.

Prayer of The Holy Family of Nazareth.

Jesus Mary and Joseph we place our Trust in you keep us safe and protected and show us the True Way.

Salve Regina

Hail Holy Queen Mother of Mercy, hail our Life, our sweetness and hope, to you do we cry. poor banished children of Eve, to you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy towards us, and after this exile show us unto the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus, O clement, O loving. O sweet Virgin Mary.

Pray for us, most holy Mother of God that we may be made worthy of the Promises of Christ.

The Angelus.

The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.

And She conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Behold the handmaid of the Lord

Be it done unto me according to your word.

(Hail Mary, full of grace......)

And the Word was made flesh.

And dwelt amongst us.

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray - Pour forth, we beseech you, O Lord your grace into our hearts, that we to whom the Incarnation of Christ your Son was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the Glory of his Resurrection through the same Christ Our Lord- Amen,

Prayer for Spiritual Communion

My Jesus I believe that You are present

in the Most Blessed Sacrament

I Love You above all things,

and I desire to receive You into my Soul.

Since I cannot now receive You

Sacramentally

Come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace You as if You were already

there,

and I unite myself wholly to You.

Never permit me to be separated from You.
