Introduction to Maureen's Poetry
This is a simple collection of writing all about the spiritual nature of the world and people. It tries to offer an idealism that can let people understand happiness and peace, because it bases its assumption on a belief in a supernatural force that organises Creation in a loving wholesome way, wishing it to exist in harmony, pervaded by a sense of lightness, brightness and colour that is the very essence of life itself.
I believe in this idealism, I believe it to be a viable proposition, and I believe that it will be finally accomplished in a perfectly beautiful way to complete a final beautiful restoration of Life on Earth.
Poetry can attune us to our soul and contact with the Divine where we find our very source of life, love, peace and well-being.
The Oasis in all its spheres attempts to offer a deeper awareness of this spiritual dimension.

Colour My World
Colour my world in rainbow hues,
nothing drab and dreary,
this is my wish:-
To live in harmony with life,
see the beauty of Creation up close,
knowing its perfection;
to reach the stars and see them shining,
rise into the morning sun,
touch Heaven with my heart;
feel peace pervade my being
in a moment of pure love.

Peace
I love to see the light
filter through the window,
making dancing patterns on the wall,
filling me with hope.
How I wonder can I see beyond
my dreary world into brightness,
lift myself into fullness
in a moment of peace ?
We search for peace
looking everywhere for it,
it lurks behind every corner,
vanishes almost within our grasp.
How this light shows me myself
reflected in its beauty,
offering me mystery beyond mystery,
- a moment of clear sight,
and the peace that I long for.
