Fully and Happily Alive

Extract from Maureen's writings.

I feel that I really must explain the part of Jesus and Mary's personality which appealed so greatly to me, and helped me to appreciate that They were very real, and this was the sense of humour. Now this sense of humour conveyed itself to me from the very beginning, because Jesus and Mary were very clear to show me that humour was part of their personality.Jesus explained to me quite simply that humour is a very integral part of life, because it helps to give life its lightness and its colour and its compassion.

Mary explained to me that at Nazareth They had lived life in a very humorous way. They lived life very lightly, brightly and colourfully, and the joy of Their life was very much a part of Their life. She explained also that she is so sad, that this dimension of Their life has not been conveyed to people.People are not aware that the Family at Nazareth lived Life fully, joyfully, with much zest and vigour and vitality; and the suffering part of Jesus's life and Mary's life, was really a tiny part which had to be, and had to be very forcefully at the end of the life-cycle so that people could simply understand that this was part of Life that they accepted very willingly. But They were explainng to me through the Messages, that God simply and truly does want people to be happy. As a loving God, He has created people to be happy,He has created people to be joyful, he has created to enter into a joyful and loving relationship with each other;and Jesus and Mary were explaining to me that at Nazareth They simply did this.

They gave me many colourful, pictorial incidents, which I wrote down in my little exercise books, and kept very safely to read again and again when I was feeling depressed, because they were beautiful, and very simple, and very reassuring and homely, and they certainly did make Jesus and Mary very real to me.

So the humour in the Messages really was a very basic and integral part of the messages. Mery explained that Jesus was a very balanced personality, who loved to laugh, and loved Life;and the factual side of the Bible is really not conveying this.They pointed me to the wedding feast at Cana, and the enormous amount of wine provided by Jesus. They pointed me to the fact that Jesus really did love to make jokes with His disciples, and understood their very inconsistent and incongruous characters, and was able to laugh at their quarrels, and laugh at the glumness of St. Peter, and the rashness of St. Peter, and was able to see that very often they had quite large ego problems.This whole picture was quite new to me, but also very convincing and very appealing, because all the time it was making God, Jesus and Mary, and Their Reality much more true to myself.

The Messages continued in this light vein, but They were also explaining that people today were no longer understanding that humour in Life is vital. Jesus and Mary explained to me that people were really thinking that Life had to be very depressing and laborious and monotonous and severe, and many people were really beginning to think that this was why God had created people, and this was what Life was meant to be. And They were were explaining to me that this was certainly not what life was all about. Life, They said, is to be joyful, and happy, and loving, and contented, and peaceful, and free, and people as individuals are meant to enter into Life in this way.

They explained to me that God has really created Life as a very beautiful Design,and there is so much beauty in Life which is simply not appreciated or acknowledged or seen; and the lghtness of Life, and brightness of Life, and the colour of Life, is being submerged completely by a darkness, a mistiness, and a whole denial of everything that Life really should be. Jesus and Mary conveyed Their sadness about this,and tried to show me that this was really why They were explaining to me  the fact that They really did wish to let people understand that God wants so desperately to see people living Life fully and happily, that He had envisaged a final way of achieving this.

Spring is My lovely way of seeing the

newness of my Life in Love.

When every moment of hope and life

is fused into a beautiful fresh picture

of wholeness and beauty and joy.

And this is My moment of life

when I rise with the sun to proclain

My message of hope to the World.

When I live in the fullness of life

in a moment of birth and beginning.

When every part of My Life brings Me

the splendour of newness and Love:

when every part of Life burst forth

with My newness and hope for everone.

When I think of My Life on Earth

in an easy moment of Love.

I think of the newness of life.

In a beautiful moment of Peace. 

                       The Easter of My Life is there in                                          

a tiny moment of pure ecstasy

when I lived for God's whole

loving in a simple way of hope.

Here in a simple moment when

every part of My Loving fused

into a whole loving moment of

Life and Love and Peace in God.

So My moment of Love

is here on Easter Day.

When My Son is King of the World,

When My Life is the wholeness of Him.

In Love and Life and Peace forever.
