The Face of Jesus/The Face of Mary in the centre of the Mandala

Maureen's art work came from within herself- she did not copy a scene or anything- the inspiration would just come and she would just start to paint unaware of anything else that was happening around her- the paintings are full of energy.

Over the years she painted quite a few Mandala's to help people to meditate. Mandals' are the circular religious symbol representing the Universe used for meditation mainly in the East. Quite often when Maureen had completed one  we would notice the Face of Jesus or Mary in the centre of the tunnel- she never ever tried to paint the face it would just be there !

This particular one is very interesting as some people see the face of Jesus while other people see the face of Our Lady- some people when meditating will see the Faces change (Jesus to Mary. Mary to Jesus)

Maureen:-

My thoughts on Art, Life, and anything that inspires people to feel happy. I hope to show some of my paintings, some positive reflections and daily thoughts. Also CD's that I offer for relaxation. In fact day to day living- a Spot to allow my creative side express itself and to feel free.

I love to paint a bright picture of Life using strong colours and a free style, paintings that are uplifting and simple, easy to relax with. They are part of a social therapy for relaxation.

Oasis Studio - Maureen's opening statement:-

The Oasis Studio now has a sign, and so I feel has more of an identity and personality. Of course I see it as a facet of the Oasis Vision in that it offers an ambience of calm and peace and makes a positive statement through the paintings about the beauty and colour of Creation- and a celebration of the Spirit of Life as the source of the animation.

All the facets of the Oasis Vision are based on this simple acknowledgement of God's Life-giving power, so it points to a way of Life that follows this acknowledgement with a faith, dedication, simplicity, positive attitude and most of all Love,---a Love that reaches out at every moment to everyone and everything.

This Way of Life is the central theme of the Oasis Vision, that foresees a final enlightened Sphere where the enlightened people living this way will work in total harmony with the Spirit of Life to uplift the World into a New World of Love and Peace. The Oasis Vision will then have actualised as a final and complete Reality.
